LAURA’S NURSERY

An Expansive Collection With Hundreds of Choices

Laura has built an expansive nursery with hundreds of local, distinctive and artisanal plant varieties to choose from. The nursery isn’t an afterthought attached to a landscaping company. It is one of the foundations of Clear Lake Outdoor Works.

Laura is a project manager, designer, nursery grower and plant specialist with the kind of intuitive green thumb that comes from years of working directly with plants and creating landscapes herself. Her strength is not simply knowing which plant looks attractive on a nursery bench. It is understanding what combinations can become a coherent outdoor space.

That means customers can start with a single plant, redesign a planting bed, or use the nursery as the starting point for an entire landscape project.

PLANTS WITH A PURPOSE

Choose Plants for the Property You Actually Have

Lake County properties can present very different combinations of sun, heat, wind, soil, slopes and available irrigation. Choosing plants should account for those conditions as well as appearance.

  • Landscape trees and shrubs
  • Ornamental and flowering plants
  • Drought-conscious selections
  • Plants for beds, borders and focal areas
  • Selections coordinated with irrigation plans
  • Plants incorporated into full landscape designs

The Nursery Connects the Whole Business

Laura’s plant and design knowledge combines with Sloan and Conrad’s practical landscape and irrigation experience. That lets the team think about plants, water and the finished property together rather than as disconnected jobs.

No. Customers can purchase or select plants, but the nursery also supports landscaping, irrigation and complete outdoor-property projects.

Can you help select plants for my property?

Yes. Plant selection can be coordinated with the amount of sun, water, available space, landscape style and the other improvements planned for the property.

Do you have drought-conscious options?

Yes. The nursery and irrigation sides of the business work together, making drought-tolerant and water-conscious landscapes an important part of what we do.
